Terms of Service
The agreement between you and the company behind Maplista. It is written to be read, so the parts that constrain you and the parts that constrain us are in the same plain language.

1. Who you are contracting with
Maplista is operated by Tonoid SASU, a société par actions simplifiée unipersonnelle (SASU) registered in France ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms.
- Registered address: 4 rue Jean Rey, 78220 Viroflay, France

- Registration: RCS Versailles 879 475 788 (SIREN 879 475 788)
- Intra-community VAT: FR22879475788
- Contact: [email protected]
- Publication director: Simo Elalj, president of Tonoid SASU.
- Hosting: Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany.
2. What Maplista does
Maplista is a browser extension and web app that lets you view, search, organize and export the places you have saved in Google Maps. It works on your own lists, through your own signed-in Google session, in your own browser.
Maplista is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a product of Google. Google Maps is a Google trademark. Your use of Google’s services remains governed by your agreement with Google, and you are responsible for keeping to it.
3. Your account
You must give an accurate email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 15 years old. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
4. Plans, and what each one includes
- Free. Viewing, searching, filtering, notes, syncing and one-at-a-time moves, with no time limit. AI auto-organize is included as a one-time preview budget of 5,000 credits, one credit per place the AI examines, and applying suggestions back to Google Maps is capped at 30 moves for the life of the account.
- Pro. A subscription, monthly or yearly. Removes both free limits and adds bulk actions, every export format, list tidying and a larger vote allowance on the 4.8 Club board.
- Maplista Forever. A single payment for the same local tools as Pro, with no renewal. It covers the tools that run on your machine. It deliberately does not include future hosted features that carry an ongoing per-user cost, and we say so plainly on the pricing page rather than in a clause here.
“Unmetered” AI on the paid plans means no credit meter. It is subject to a fair-use ceiling high enough that ordinary use will never meet it; it exists to stop automated abuse of a licence that never expires, not to ration real customers.
5. Payment
Payments are taken by Polar Software Inc., which acts as merchant of record and seller for every Maplista purchase. Polar handles the payment, applicable VAT and your invoice. We never receive your card details. Polar’s own terms apply to the payment itself.
Prices are shown before you pay. Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval you chose until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and is not pro-rated.
6. Your right to withdraw, and refunds
If you are a consumer in the European Union you have 14 days from purchase to withdraw, under Articles L221-18 and following of the French Consumer Code.
Because Maplista is digital content supplied immediately, you are asked to agree at checkout that supply begins at once and to acknowledge that you therefore lose the right of withdrawal once performance has begun. Where that agreement was not given, the 14-day right applies in full.
Beyond the statutory right, if Maplista has not done what we said it does, write to [email protected] and tell us what happened. We would rather refund you than keep money from someone the product did not work for.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Maplista to access an account or data that is not yours;
- automate, script or resell access, or share credentials so that more than one person uses a single licence;
- attempt to bypass the plan limits or the fair-use ceiling;
- probe, overload or interfere with the service or its infrastructure;
- use Maplista in breach of Google’s terms, or of any law that applies to you.
We may suspend an account that does these things. Where the breach is not serious we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
8. Your data and your content
Your saved places remain yours and remain in your Google account. We claim no ownership of them and, as set out in the Privacy Policy, we do not store them.
You are responsible for the changes you apply to your own Google Maps lists. Maplista shows you every suggestion before anything is applied, and merges copy places into the surviving list before removing the old one, but the decision to apply is yours. Keep your own exports if a change would be painful to undo.
9. Availability
Maplista depends on services we do not control, including Google Maps. Google may change its interfaces at any time, which can break parts of the extension until we adapt. We do not offer an uptime guarantee, and we may change, suspend or discontinue features.
If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give reasonable notice, and holders of a Maplista Forever licence who bought within the previous twelve months will be offered a pro-rated refund.
10. Warranties and liability
Maplista is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here removes the legal guarantee of conformity owed to consumers under French law.
Subject to that, our total liability arising out of these terms is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty euros. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data held by third parties such as Google.
11. Ending the agreement
You may stop using Maplista and delete your account at any time. We may terminate for a serious or repeated breach of section 7, or if we are required to by law. On termination your access to paid features ends; your Google Maps lists are untouched, because they were never ours.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will email account holders at least 30 days beforehand. Continuing to use Maplista after a change takes effect means you accept it. If you do not, you may cancel, and we will refund the unused part of a subscription period paid in advance.
13. Law, and how disputes are settled
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
Please write to [email protected] first; most things are settled that way. Consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform, and may refer the dispute to a French consumer mediator free of charge. Failing agreement, the competent French courts have jurisdiction.
